I'm a galley slave to pen and ink

Typically I don't like preferential treatment. I think it says those participating believe they are special and deserve to be treated differently. I don't think anyone is special.

But I'm going to make an exception.

For school I have a midpoi
nt review to see what I've done thus far and to propose what I'd like to do for the rest of the program. My portfolio for this review was supposed to be due 9/21. I, however, got an extension until 9/27. I can't possibly articulate how happy this has made me.

Happy Friday everyone!

People exaggerate both happiness and unhappiness; we are never so fortunate nor so unfortunate as people say we are.

Look twice in one day!

Things I did, the picture version:

I went to Vegas.

I got a new tattoo.

I baked.

I got dressed up.

I joined a knitting club.

And I took lots of pictures.

She had not yet decided whether to use her power for good...or for evil

It's been a while.

A long while.

Ten months almost. A lot has happened in the past ten months. But everything is exactly the same.

Finished up my second term at AAU. Finished up my third term. Finished up my fourth term. Started my fifth term. It's hard to believe that I've been working on my masters for over a year now. It's even harder to believe that I still have over two more years to go.

Biked. A lot. Biked almost 1,000 miles over last winter break.

Started doing pilates. Been doing it for eight months now. I love it. It's hard to articulate what about it keeps me coming back but come back I do. (Note - I do reformer pilates not mat pilates.)

Still working for sephora.com. Been here for just over 13 months now. My role keeps evolving, which I enjoy.

Watched lots of movies. Some of them good. Most of them not.

Wish I could say I've read a lot of amazing books. But that's not true. I've read a few books. Mostly now, though, I read comics. Which I'm okay with too.

Went to MOMA. Got my culutre on. Just the once mind you. Don't want to be too cultured.

Jumped out of a plane.

Mostly I think. I suppose you could say I'm still going through my exestientail crisis. I don't really see that changing anytime soon. Or ever.

I wish I could promise to update this more. But that's probably not going to happen. I'll try though. I think. Maybe.
